The purpose of the Phil Wagner Foundation is to provide meaningful support, resources, and financial assistance to the families and children of law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Our mission is to honor the sacrifice of Officer Phillip C. Wagner and other fallen officers by standing beside their loved ones in times of profound loss - offering compassionate aid, educational opportunities, and community-driven programs that promote healing, resilience, and remembrance. The Phil Wagner Foundation was founded by a few members of the Lorain Police Department's S.W.A.T. Team to carry on Phil's legacy and honor the sacrifices he made to his community and country. It is our mission to ensure his name and family are not forgotten. Our Board of Directors is made up entirely of current or former members of the team and are still currently full-time police officers. Our positions are completely voluntary and our time donated.

One of the main driving factors to establish this nonprofit organization was for Phil's three surviving children that he leaves behind. The foundation seeks to host events in remembrance of their father and to be there in his absence on days that might matter most to his children. We cannot forget Phil's family and leave them to navigate the road ahead alone.

The Board of Directors would also like to see the foundation grow and be able to offer scholarships to children of law enforcement in Phil's name as well as offer financial assistance to other families who have lost a parent or spouse in the line of duty.
